Atlanta Law 2014

As of Sunday, January 19, 2014, we have officially wrapped tapping for the Atlanta Law project.
Created & Designed By Leslie M. Greene

Working on Atlanta Law was an AWESOME experience and the cast and crew did a tremendous job, in such a short time.

The Atlanta Law Journey: A quick recap

December 9th, 2013, I received a call about a potential casting opportunity and was told I'd hear back soon.

December 16th, 2013, I received a call from an LA director.  She was calling to speak with me about the project and to get my references and to verify my credentials.

December 18th, 2013:
All my reference checked out and I got the a call the the LA director asking me if I was interested in the opportunity. She explained the pace and tone for the next 30 days and welcomed me onboard.

December 19th, 2013:
I got the call to meet the Executive Producer/ Writer of the Atlanta Law project the next day.

December 20th, 2013:
Conversation, contracts signed & the 1st question I got was, "When can we do a script read?"

After December 21st, things begin moving at warp speed…

December 23, 2013
I gathered 10 talented actors and at 5:30pm we had our 1st script read. The writer received some great feedback.  Connected the original writer with a script writer and the process began. In a 1 week turn-around we had a New script.

December 23rd, 2013
Character breakdown is posted and in my head, I hear the words…."Now let the games begin!" I post, dissect and I begin aggressively searching for the best talent.  Found a great leading lady… but she won't be able to participate do to holiday travels. UGHHHH!!!

December 28th, 2013
"What do you mean… there will be a script rewrite!?" UGHHH! How many characters will be added or eliminated? GEEZ!!! LOL "Are we still shooting January 15th - 20th?"  Answer: "Yes!"

January 3rd, 2014
Meeting with the Executive Producer. "So when is the next script read?" Me: "Tuesday, January 14th, after we finalize the cast."

January 7th, ~ "Well Happy Birthday to me… As I work!"

January 10th, 2014
1st round of auditions | screen testing for selected talent. Great I have 5 people we want the director to meet. These 5 are a shoe in for the roles.

January 11, 2014
Not so open casting call.  I only sent an invite to the RtSE Casting Company website database ONLY and more than 300+ hopefuls came out. Doors opened at 9:30am and I left at 10:30 pm. No lunch or restroom break! (NOTE TO SELF: Never do that again) I heard later that maybe more people came out but several left.  A huge thank you to my team: Holly, Tiffany & Ted (They shined bright like DIAMONDS!!!!) I could not have done it without you!

January 12, 2014
Prepare & schedule time for the selected talent to meet the Director on tomorrow.

January 13th, 2014
The LA Director is in town and meeting with the potential cast. Narrowing and selecting from the best of the best that I have seen over the last week. Interviews started at 9:30 am and ended at 7:00pm
Cast finalized and offer letters sent by 10:00 pm. Calls made for script read details.

January 14th, 2014
Full cast assembled and sitting down at the script read.  Questions answered, introductions made and schedules given out…. We shoot tomorrow!

Check out some of the behind the scenes stills on instagram #AtlantaLaw and on Facebook (in the 1st 24 hours we amassed over 700+ Likes)

Stay Tuned!
